JACOB JAN BOERMA

Even as a small child, I knew I wanted to be a chef when I grew up.

During a vacation with my parents, I was sitting in the back seat of the car, inspired by the Michelin Guide lying next to me. This famous culinary bible inspired me to dream of one day cooking for three stars myself.

As a result, I opened my first restaurant, De Leest*** in Vaassen, in the summer of 2002 and earned my very first Michelin star in 2003.

A second star followed in 2007 and the coveted third star came at the end of 2013. I am incredibly proud of this achievement and have worked hard for it.

It has been several years since my passion for cooking began to take shape. Fresh out of school, I left for Asia at the age of 17 to gain experience in top restaurants and discover a new style of cooking. I was trained in classic French cuisine, but I wanted to be inspired by other cuisines. The world around us has so much beauty to offer. Something you will see reflected in our restaurant.


Back in the Netherlands, I went to work for Jacob Jan Boerma at De Leest***. I then became Chef at Parc Broekhuizen in Leersum, where I received my first Michelin star in 2018 at Restaurant Voltaire. A success that leaves me wanting more and drives me to do even better at Fine Fleur, the restaurant owned by myself and Jacob Jan Boerma!
